Black Screws 5 x 40mm Exterior coating are black screws with an organic exterior coating for black ironmongery applications such as black hinges, black locks, tee hinges and black gate hardware.
All the features and superior performance of the famous Timco Classic Multi-Purpose Screw with a corrosion resistant coating to withstand over 1,000 hours salt spray.
Designed to be used with black ironmongery into timber.
These Timco manufactured screws are CE Service Class 3.
The 25° sharp point, special thread design, lubrication and corrosion resistant plating ensures the screw will consistently perform efficiently in hardwood, chipboard, MDF, plastic and thin sheet metal, whilst offering exceptional holding power.
The Double countersunk head reduces the likelihood of head shear and assists completion of countersinking.
The 40° deep single thread to provide a secure fixing with high pull-out resistance.
Single slash on 25mm+ to reduce torque and the likelihood of the timber splitting when the screw is inserted close to the edge.
